Managing and analysing vast amounts of marine data is a complex challenge, particularly in offshore munitions clearance and monitoring. TrueOcean, a state-of-the-art SaaS platform, simplifies this process by offering an efficient, cloud-based solution for handling large-scale geospatial datasets. Designed for seamless collaboration, TrueOcean enables researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to access, analyse, and share critical seabed data. By integrating advanced technologies such as data from autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and advanced analytic tools, TrueOcean optimizes workflows, enhances decision-making, and accelerates operations in underwater security and infrastructure protection. Whether for environmental monitoring, defense, or offshore industries, the platform ensures a safer and more efficient approach to managing marine data.
In the MMinE-SwEEPER project the TrueOcean platform will be further developed to meet the needs of all stakeholders involved in the topic of munition in the sea. With a diverse group of project partners, including academics, policymakers, governmental and industry representatives, the project is well-positioned to gather comprehensive feedback that addresses a wide range of requirements. As an initial step, additional security features, such as two-factor authentication for login and enhanced user activity logging, are being implemented based on the stakeholder feedback.
TrueOcean will be showcased at Kiel Munition Clearance Week 2025 (KMCW25), taking place from June 18–20, 2025, in Kiel, Germany. As a leading international event focused on offshore munition clearance and the protection of critical underwater infrastructure, KMCW25 brings together experts from industry, government, and research to foster innovation and collaboration in this crucial field. The event offers organizations a chance to connect with key stakeholders, showcase innovations, and support marine security. Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities provide direct access to industry leaders and decision-makers in underwater safety and remediation.
